Healthy Snacks for Seniors

Healthy snacking is important for everyone, but for the senior demographic, it can help address aging health issues. If you’re eating unhealthy snacks it can worsen conditions like diabetes and arthritis, while the right snacks can improve these conditions.

Although a senior diet can be particularly unique, it’s important to stay focused, because eating the wrong foods can result in malnutrition or obesity. It’s also unique because some seniors may have trouble chewing and/or swallowing. They may even lose certain senses such as taste, smell, thirst or hunger.
