The Biden Administration has wasted no time with implementing new mandates to better fight COVID-19. The president has issued a challenge to the American people to wear a mask over the next 100 days to curb the spread of the virus.
This is in addition to the executive orders that he signed on his first day in an office requiring that masks be worn on planes, trains, and buses; along with all federal buildings and other federal properties.
Wear your mask
Biden urges Americans to wear a mask. The president explained that timing is everything. He went as far as to say that it is even more important than vaccines in getting the pandemic under control, for the very fact that the vaccines take time to take full effect. If Americans concede to the mask challenge while the access to vaccines is ramped up, the president added, “from now until April we’d save more than 50,000 lives going forward.” Wearing your masks today can help prevent the spread of the disease as the nation awaits to see the effects of the vaccine.
