New Medicare App Makes Getting Coverage Info Easier

New medicare.gov app will make it easy for you to figure out what’s covered and not covered under Parts A and B.

At the touch of a button, you can find out what’s covered and under which circumstances, right from your phone. You’ll see what’s covered in a doctor’s office, in the hospital, and in any other clinical setting.

The new medicare.gov “What’s covered” app is free, and gives you quick coverage info, plus what each service costs.

How to get the app

In the the Apple App Store or in Google Play, simply search “What’s covered” or “Medicare.”

Use the app even when offline to get up-to-date coverage information.

The new app is part of Medicare.gov’s new eMedicare initiative, which is striving to make Medicare an easy and smooth experience for beneficiaries. One of Medicare’s goals is to improve price transparency for beneficiaries, so you’ll be prepared and know what services will cost you ahead of time.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Seema Verma said, “The goal is to create a more modern, personalized, and seamless customer experience for people with Medicare and their loves ones, no matter how they choose to get information.”
