Trump States Approval of Senate Healthcare Bill

Trumpcare health care bill mean

President Donald Trump tweeted his support Thursday afternoon for the Senate health care bill that was released to the public earlier that morning.

The President’s backing of the bill caught some off guard, as earlier reports noted that he referred to the bill as “mean” and he said he wanted a Senate bill “with a heart” just this past Wednesday at a rally in Iowa. His most recent tweet on the subject, however, appears to be in line with his previous statements on Twitter about the American Health Care Act (AHCA), aka Trumpcare, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) aka Obamacare.

Various organizations, including the AARP, have spoken out against the healthcare bill. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he hopes to bring the Senate health care bill before the Senate for a vote before the July 4 recess. The bill still needs to be reviewed and analyzed by the Congressional Budget Office. The House version did not get a good review by the CBO, which spawned much discord on social media.
